Project Description

The Three Gardeners, Strood (now Wills Fish and Chips Restaurant)

Many residents of the Medway Towns will remember seeing this former public house that is opposite the Post Office in North Street when it was empty and virtually derelict.

Synergy started working on this project after planning and listed building consent had been obtained for alterations to the building and for a large rear extension.

Initially, we were asked to deal with an extensive list of planning and listed building conditions and this developed to architectural design work for changes to the proposed development, town planning work to clear listed and planning conditions, to extend the opening hours, and to gain takeaway consent, to deal with amendments made during construction and other changes to the approved scheme so that an enlarged kitchen area could be created to the ground floor.

Synergy also dealt with the advertising consent and building regulations details and building control approval.

The photograph shows the front of the restored building.
