Synergy were instructed to undertake this large-scale project to carry out architectural design work for the owners of the existing business park. This project comprised a number of old industrial buildings which had been used as an asbestos roofing factory. This project had some significant challenges considering the historical use of the buildings and the requirements surrounding any use of asbestos. At Synergy, we were able to use our extensive planning experience to ensure this project was able to meet the requirements of Medway Planning department and a proposal has been granted planning consent to re-develop the site with modern industrial buildings. Extensive mediation work has had to be carried out due to the site’s historical use however we are proud to have been part of renovating this site to provide a new, modern industrial complex for new businesses to function out of.
